On June 12 the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a hearing on the Historic Roadways Protection Act. This legislation would restrict the Bureau of Land Management from closing roads through implementation of recently completed travel plans in Utah – such as the plan that closed 317 miles of trails in Moab.
With travel plans underway in the Henry Mountains, the Dolores River Area, Trail Canyon, Paunsaugunt, and the San Rafael Swell, the Senate Committee needs to hear from BRC and its supporters.
