The Texas Border Sub-Regional Planning Commission (TBSRPC), made up of Kinney and Uvalde Counties and the City of Uvalde have their first meeting with a state agency this week.
On Thursday, October 21st, the TBSRPC will meet with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), the state agency charged with coordinating emergency planning for any natural or man-made disaster with local governments. The massive invasion of illegal aliens pouring into Texas and the nation qualifies as a civil disaster.
Using the same strategy that stopped the Trans-Texas Corridor in 2007, American Stewards of Liberty has assisted the two counties and city with forming a statutory Planning Commission under Section 391 of the Texas Local Government Code. The Code specifically states in Section 391.009(c):
“In carrying out their planning and program development responsibilities, state agencies shall, to the greatest extent feasible, coordinate planning with commissions to ensure effective and orderly implementation of state programs at the regional level.”
This gives the TBSRPC the ability to demand TDEM coordinate on a government-to-government basis where each are equal in stature, and both have a duty to resolve problems that the local government faces. Kinney County, in particular, is being overrun by illegals flooding their streets, trespassing on rancher’s private property, destroying buildings, fences and property, and creating an enormous spike in all forms of criminal acts.
On May 31st, Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration along Texas’ southern border to “use all necessary and available state and local resources to protect landowners in these (border) counties from trespassers and damage caused to private property.”
Criminal trespassing, smuggling and human trafficking is an enormous problem and only getting worse. TBSRPC intends to address these and other problems facing the citizens by specifically demanding the state fund more personnel to be deputized by the County Sheriff, build more holding facilities to detain the people entering illegally, and help the County attorney’s office prosecute the massive increase in criminal cases.
These are all issues that are purposely being ignored by the Biden Administration to overwhelm and destroy our local governments and our State of Texas. Hopefully, the TBSRPC will begin to resolve these and many more issues and turn this horrible situation around.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Uvalde Civic Center in the Pecan Room starting at 2 p.m. It is open to the public and we encourage our members to attend if you are in the area.
