We are blocked from sending email newsletters
We have been blocked from sending emails to Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft email addresses!
In the age of internet censorship, operations like Arizona Backcountry Explorers are forced into the shadows where nobody can see our content. The algorithms decide what information is available to our followers on social media. For this reason, we have always stressed the importance of subscribing to our email list so we can stay in contact.
Now it appears the shadow banning by big tech, on behalf of the federal government, has focused on our email delivery system.
While most people receive actual unsolicited spam in their inbox all day long from scammers who are looking to exploit innocent victims, Arizona Backcountry Explorers maintains the best intention when emailing legitimate correspondences. Although we send emails to a large list, we only email our list maybe once every two or three months.
Our email newsletter worked flawlessly up until the week the Bureau of Land Management started releasing its final decisions on multiple Travel Management Plans across the state. We were able to get a single email out to our list to instantly engage thousands of people with no problem. However, every email after that was never delivered. The email never even hit the spam box.
Strangely enough, we can still send and receive emails using an email client such as Outlook. It’s only the email newsletter that is being blocked.
We are working to promptly resolve these issues with all three tech platforms with the help of our web hosting service. We apologize if there are any communication issues between any of our members, customers, partners, or others whom we communicate with every day.
